I'm sitting 2.2lbs below LDW. I didn't make the soup yet....just didn't get the squash to try it so I've been sticking to chicken soup (mostly broth) and definitely not getting enough calories in right now. I have fallen back on some old comfort foods (BLT on toast but at least it is whole wheat). Hopefully I can stay under control and get through this horrible chest cold soon. I bought some Benylin today....I just want to sleep.
On a brighter note: I bought a new iPhone! Yay! It is pretty neato but I am still figuring out how exactly it all works. I downloaded some apps to try out for calorie counting (I've been doing it manually and know most of my food choices' counts) and some games to help distract...oops..I mean, educate my kids. ;)
We have a little spring vacation coming up soon. We went to Edmonton last year with the kids and they loved it so we're doing it again. I bought a new bathing suit last week and it was a size 10 :)) Super happy!!! West Edmonton Mall here we come! This year there will be plenty of pictures again but this time they will be with me in them too! Woot Woot!!!
Cheers!

Still a couple pounds below LDW.
I have the worst sore throat though....I can barely talk so I guess it's a good thing my cell phone died! I feel so lost without it though :( I'll be shopping for a new phone tomorrow and the results are in from my Facebook poll...an iPhone is the winner! Super excited to get my hands on one and play! and if I'm stuck in bed sick then, at least, I'll still be plugged in!!! I can make the most out of any situation.....almost...
UGH!!! It's like a lead weight on my neck and chest. I'm sipping a lemon lime twist Zevia because it is fortified with 60mg vitamin C....and because it tastes good. Hot tea to follow.
I don't think I got all my calories today but I'll make some pureé soup tomorrow to help. I'm thinking a butternut squash soup thickened with some natural whey protein iso powder. I haven't tried it before but it just sort of dawned on me while I was looking over some recipes for muffins and soups (I was thinking about how it is hard  to plan for high protein snacks and lunch. Some promising ideas!). I have a couple recipes now that use protein powder in the mix so why not in soups? I'll update how it goes.
That's all I got...**cough*cough**groan*

Progress report! I'm 6 days into M2 and weigh 167.4lbs (LDW 169lbs). :) Yay!!! Foods I've been enjoying are the usual greek yogurt (with berries and stevia), spaghetti and meat sauce, wild rice with mushrooms and pork, and sprouted grain bread (french toast!)...just to name a few. I haven't had to do a single steak day (of course now that I said that I'll see a jump on the scale! LOL). This has been my best maintenance to date!
I have a sore throat today and I'm hoping I don't get too sick. It as been running it's course through our house so no surprise. Extra fluids and extra garlic (not a problem for me) should help me through this quickly.
I hope you are all doing well!
Cheers!

P2 Radish Chips
Yummy, very low calorie snack! Radishes have only 1 calorie each!!! Honestly, I wouldn't worry about having this snack up and above my normal daily allotment during vlcd. If you feel you must cheat....cheat with these!!!

Ingredients:
10 radishes
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp paprika

(adjust seasonings, more or less, to your liking)

Directions:
Thinly slice radishes
Steam in microwave for 5 minutes
Put in bowl with spices; stir

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, flip the chips, and bake for another 10 minutes.

How easy is that!!!
Cheers!

Well! Not sure what I did to deserve a nice drop like that :) I had a pretty relaxing day yesterday and drank a Nighty Night tea before bed so maybe that helped. Amazing how important a good nights sleep (or 2) really is to our health. I'm feeling refreshed and ready for the day today! The sun is shining which is boosting my serotonin levels too. On sunny days like today it is best to get outside and soak in those happy energies beaming down on us. Especially after a long winter. Vitamin D here I come! (Benefits of vitamin D)
Cheers!

R4M1D11 +1.6LDW
Been pretty stable last few days even if it is above LDW. I'm good with that :) I have yogurt and nuts in my life so I'm all good. I survived the Chinese New Years celebration and even enjoyed come chocolate coated strawberries. I came home that night (Saturday) and fell asleep on the couch for a couple hours. When hubby woke me to go to bed I thought for sure I was in for a good nights sleep. Than I couldn't get back to sleep! To my horror I was stuck awake from midnight til after 4am :(( I ended up drugging myself to sleep with some Nyquil. It was all I could find and I was so out of it that I swear I would have taken anything so long as it said: "May cause drowsiness." 2 hours later and it was time to get up for the day. It just goes to show that it probably wasn't such a good idea to eat the chocolate.... At least I didn't have to do a steak day but honestly...I would have rather done the steak day to the lack of sleep and the killer headache.
Note to self....just say no to chocolate.
