Well if I wanted to torture myself this would qualify. I am so close to hitting that 25lbs loss that
it is killing me....tomorrow (I hope).

Meals I have been enjoying:

steak with tomato and Italian spice&herb, side of melba and sliced orange
non-fat cottage cheese/apple chunks on romaine lettuce with crumbled melba
shrimp salad with hot sauce and garlic
chicken and cucumber chunks mixed together with hot sauce (favorite lunch to go)
Aimee's Apple Quiche

Not the fancy menu some are putting together but it is working for me. I
don't have a problem sitting down for a snack of steamed asparagus. Tastes good
to me. Same with my salads, I don't find lettuce dry. I always have a bite of
meat with my greens and use orange juice and/or left over broth from cooking the
meat for my 'dressing'. If I'm rushed I grab a fruit, melba and protein shake
then do a veggie for a snack later. If I feel hungry, I slam back 2 cups of
water. I am still drinking between 10-14 cups of water/tea a day.

1.7 more and I'll hit the 25 marker! Woohoo!
Today I will go out on a limb and try the extra virgin coconut oil that is
making waves on the blog. I want to say that I had a crab salad last night that
was alright but I think I prefer doing shrimp salad this way. It is good with a
few splashes of hot sauce and a half oranges juice. oh and a melba loosely
broken up like croutons.

Shopping Day. Have a good one!

This is a hard choice for me. Do I go one more week
and hit that first goal of getting below 200 or do I accept that this was a
great round and come back after a healthy break??? I'm still averaging 0.7 loss
per day so...If I crack that second bottle I kinda feel committed to finish it,
silly I know. Think I am grasping at any logic I can to make the decision but
I'm too good at fighting for either side, lol. Will see how my friend is doing
and what he plans to do when his bottle is empty. Has been nice having someone
to do this with, we've been a good team. He has lost just shy of 25lbs (certain
he'll hit it today) and is on the same day as me! Woohooo!

Some of my readers will notice that I already post this info on the wall but this is also
for people who come along later.

I also want to add today that I think I must be pmsie because I'm all over the board emotionally. I should be happy that this is working so well for me but when I look in the mirror all I see is fat. I
took before pictures but I really haven't lost enough that it shows yet :( I am saying it now.....I should have done measurement too.

This was one of those days where I weighed twice.
You know those days where you void but not well and loss was either nil or like
0.2 or even gain.... Half hour later I had a proper void and was like: "that so
counts" and jumped back on the scale, lol.

I made it, with minimal woe! Some questions  and some negative criticism but all and all the evening was fine. Of course I  can not say the same for my children's' diet. After WAY to much sugar my 3 year  old was uncontrollable.  The response is always the same:
"you kids were like this too and you survived fine. They are just kids, let them
have fun." So I'm the bad person. I don't think I turned out okay! I'm fat, at
risk for all sorts of health issues, and am only now (in my mid-30s) getting my
nutrition and wellness under control. I want my kids to grow up without having
to work so hard for their health. I want it to be 2nd nature for them to reach
for an orange. Last night, my 3 year old was not having 'fun'. She spent most of
the time in tantrums, crying and kicking. She will be 4 in June and I can tell
you that this kind of behavior is not the norm anymore. She's past that stage. I
challenge anyone who thinks a bag of jelly beans is harmless for a toddler to
get out their scale and weigh out 23g of sugar. Now eat it all at once and see
how you feel. Now imagine a small body of ~40lbs processing the same.
Sure they may process it fine enough, survive the sugar "rush" but what happens
when they hit their 20s and 30s.....they turn into me.
20 years ago, sugar was a staple right next to bleached  flour and white bread was on everyone's' table. Tomorrow they could inform us  that pepper is actually to blame for Alzheimer or something that seems equally crazy to us today. Who knows!!

All I can do is use the knowledge I have and try to make a good life for me and my family. The past has so much to teach and I want to always be learning. Can someone please teach me how to say no to my family when they offer my kids 'sugary treats' without it turning into a negative blah? :(

Easter dinner with the fam  tonight, 18 guests. Good Grief hey! 18 mouths stuffin in the stuffing, LOL.  Minus me! Got my menu all set to go. I'm not so worried about the food there but
more so the questions and comments sure to ensue. Think I'll hide myself with the kids, supervising of  course ;) Then I'll only have to deal with whining and hyperactivity, lol. Guess I can't win here. Time to SUCK IT UP. hahaha At least I can say that my life is far from boring! I am grateful for my overly loving family.

Be strong
hCGers! We'll be back to our schedules soon.

Yah! Past the 20lbs mark! Only 65-70 more to
go....yeesh that kinda kills it hey, lol. Anyway...not much to talk on today.
tip: wash all traces of eggs from anything they contact whilst still fresh
(baked, fried or raw). This is not just sanitary but more importantly, eggs
stick and the coating does not come off easy. Had three of these dishes in my
dishwasher and it took awhile to scrape them clean. That is it today!

R1P2D17(-18.9)
down 0.2 from yesterday....meh. Nice thing about a slow day is in the next day
or so there is a big loss day :)

Well I had my snack late last night so
no surprise that I'm a lil behind in results today. Think it was 11:45pm when I
ate my orange and melba, lol. Today I will give my easter meal a trial run so I
know if any adjustments need to be made before sunday dinner with the fam. I did
Aimee's delish apple quishe for supper last night. YUM! Much better this time
then the first. I added more plain stevia and some french vanilla stevia. I also
spread it out in a glass pie pan this time which significantly reduced cook time
then in the smaller casserole dish I used before.

So here's exactly how I
did it:
1 egg and 6 Tbs whites well whisked with plenty of stevia and
cinnamon
microwaved for 1 min. 20 sec.
1 apple chopped thin and coated in
cinnamon and a bit more stevia
cut up cooked portion of egg and mix remaining
liquid egg with apple
spread everything out on pie pan and baked for 20-25
mins at 350

Thanks Aimee!! I made the kids french toast at the same time
and we all had a yummy dish for supper :)

R1P2D16(-18.7)
down 0.8 from yesterday :-)

Just to clarify, I do my calculations from my
preloading weight, not my first day of VLCD. So I started at 227.7 before I took
any drops. I also include my load days in counting which day I am on, i.e. I am
on day 16 of round 1 of taking hCG. Just wanted to be clear on my displayed
results.

That said, I am now 209 :-D
Only 10 more pounds to reach my  goal for this round! Starting to think of adding 5 more pounds to lose to that  goal.

Yesterday, I did a no fat cottage cheese and greens salad with
melba pieces, for that added crunch, and apple chunks for supper. Yum! Nice
change.
