Well
I think I just found something....I have a friend who is doing the protocol with
me and he has been doing awesome. Then one day he had zero loss. The next day
things were back to 1.2 loss (normal for him, don't men suck for that, lol) Well
I told him about today's unfortunate gain and how I found a site that claimed
that mint can interfere with the body's response to homeopathic products. I
explained that I had a huge cup of peppermint tea the day before. He said he had
two cups of the same the day before his zero day!!! Neither of us has had that
tea at any other time on the protocol, so......we think this might be a problem.
Thought I would add this for future reference.

that's down 1.4 from yesterday:-D Yah!!! Back on track. I am officially banning
all mint products from my diet and recommend others to watch out for this hCG
blocking plant:P

I use J.A.S.O.N. toothpaste and I think it has mint in
it too. I have, to date, used it well away from drop time though, and obviously
spit it out. I'm not prepared to brush my teeth daily with baking soda so I will
continue to use this product cautiously.

Today there was a post from  another hCGer who is experiencing poor loss, hunger, fatigue, all the symptoms  that suggest that hCG is not working in her system and she saw my post on the
pepperment tea. She admits that she regularly drinks this tea too. So that is 3  people now. Hopefully her results turn around in a couple days too. I know it  took 2 days for me to get through all the effects.

This is part of why I am running this log!

that's up...yes I said up...0.8lb from yesterday.

Okay, so let us look at yesterday in detail and I will show you an interesting correlation to a
previous day that was followed by a slow loss day.
Yesterday(D13):
 Lunch-protein shake
Supper-cucumber, chicken, melba, apple
Snack- cabbage
soup with lot of salt and hot sauce, base was 1/2 cup homemade chicken broth
with 2 cups water

So I missed a fruit and a melba and had more salt then normal

Day 12:
Lunch-chicken, cucumber
Supper-steak. apple,
asparagus, a melba

Again I missed a fruit and a melba and on the
following day I lost 0.4lb in contrast to my other slow days of 0.8lb and my
good days of 1-1.4lbs losses

There are a few things that may be happening
here. My body might be reacting to the lesser calorie intake and moving into
starvation mode. I might be retaining water from salt since I put salt on
asparagus too. There was a period in my past were I hovered around the 215lbs
mark and my body might be trying to revert to that number, also.

It is
what it is so I will not dwell on the matter since I am certain that I didn't
break protocol. I will increase my water intake and ensure that I get all my
calories today. Really, it is all I can do. Hope this post helps others who have
hit a plateau for no obvious reason to move beyond, since this "is only a moment
in time...let it pass" (t.v. series 'Firefly')

Yah! 1lbs from yesterday!

That's better! I am now 210.6lbs! only 11.6
away from my goal for this round. Yesterday I was running late and didn't have
anything prepared for my lunch so I decided to try my whey protein shake. I
found this in the organics section at Superstore (who is the same company as
Safe Way). I bought North Coast Naturals:All Natural 100% Whey Protein Isolate.
It packs 24g protein, 0g sugar, 0.9g fat (of which only 0.3g is saturated and
zero trans) and 2g carbs. Total calories per one scoop/shake is only 110. I
choose vanilla and it was delish!!!!! The taste stayed in my mouth for quite
awhile after which I felt was pleasing also :-) Great protein alternative!

(The following is part of a conversation so a bit confusing but still has important info on my mental state at this point in my journey)

Those cravings are hard hey!! I feet the same when my family is eating garlic bread covered in
cheddar cheese, cookies, pie....oh man it kills. Makes me angry!! But I have to
lose this weight! I can't stand looking in the mirror and seeing this stranger.
So I look past the mirror and address me. I tell myself that this is the price
of years of pleasure and that I can have those pleasures again after I pay the
bill. When I am done this treatment I will still eat the foods I love, but with
a difference. Then I will pay before I indulge and never forget how to deal with
a slight gain. Steak Day :)

down 0.4 from yesterday
Slowing as predicted. Time to start preparing for
the Easter weekend family dinner. I am bringing my own meal but I don't want it
to be plain looking or I will really hear it from the family. Not to mention
that I want to deal with the fact that I can't eat the cheese sauce that I'm
making for everyone!!! UGH. So I went online
and found "VLCD & Maintenance Easter & Passover Menus" just make sure  that you use the right one for your phase! Check them out, as I can't copy them  here without permission (C). (Sorry...I had to delete this link)

R1P2D11(-15.7)
down 0.8 from yesterday
I was happy to see the 15lbs mark pass! 13lbs to
go to reach my goal for this round. Still feeling good. Still get cravings for
carbs and cheese, oh I miss cheese the most. Thinking of getting some no fat
cottage cheese to do a substitute protein. I did an egg(+3whites+1tbsp milk)
scrambled with asparagus for supper last night. It was real good. My fruit was
strawberries and a melba toast. I'm always surprised that I am actually full
after a meal. Liberating.

R1P2D10(-14.9)
that is -0.8 from yesterday When you look at my results on a chart, it looks
like a wave flowing downward :)

I'm not surprised at the lower number
today as I took 2 tylenol(ez-tabs) yesterday for a killer tension headache. I
have had them for years now and I'm certain they are directly related to my
wieght. There is likely sugar in the coating of the easy swallow pills. Also I
moisturised my hands again. Either way, 0.8lbs gone is still great!

Time to go shopping, have a great day everyone!

R1P2D9
(-14.1) Another 1.4lbs gone, Yah!

Well I can't ask for a better start to my journey. In one week! 14lbs gone is amazing! Any other method would yield, at best, 3 pounds a week. So basically, I just saved myself a month of strenuous exercise, harsh hunger inducing diet, blinding migraines and likely hundreds of
dollars in chiropractic appts. I have come to look at this method as liposuction without the blade. So long as I respect my body and recognize when to take a break so I can adjust healthily to my lowering weight, then this really is the  solution to my problem. Definitly requires a person to take serious
responsibility for their health though. Close self monitoring is a must!
Speaking of which...I better go drink some water :-)

Happy I'm on  track

R1P2D8(-12.7)

That is down 3.6 from yesterday! Woohoo! That is gratifying :-D

Well,
what did I do exactly yesterday? I forgot to add hot sauce to lunch like I said
I would but it made it on to my dinner. Lunch was sole (had melba batter) with
cuccumber and Supper was chicken salad and an apple. I finished with an evening
snack of strawberries with stevia drops(vanilla and hazelnut cream) and
cinnamon. After mixing the chopped strawberries very well there was a sauce from
the juices and I spread some of that on my melba toast. Was soooo good! Made me
think of brown sugar/cinnamon toast and cinnamon buns. YUM!

I guess I got
lucky with the hand lotion. Thank goodness, my hands feel so much better
today.

So dirty details....I finally had a bowel movement forfirst time
in 3 days but this is normal according to Dr.Simeons book. So on track
there....Thought I should probably comment on the coldness people are
experiencing too. Yes my hands and feet are cold most of the time. I was a bit
concerned about having sex (am I really typing this!!LOL) since the protocol
says no to massage due to the chance of bruising but last night went well enough
;P I did find that I dropped into a coma sleep after, though!

On that
note, lol, I will bid you all good day and good luck!

R1P2D7(-9.1)
slowed from previous days, -0.9 today

Well I am reviewing what I did yesterday to see if my slow down is just the normal transition seen in most people going into 2nd week or something else.

I did use mineral oil yesterday for 1st time on protocol so I will stop that for now. I noticed this
morning that the bottle says vitamin E and Aloe. Not sure if these are okay or
not.

I went for a walk that turned into a brisk walk because the wind picked up and a freak snow storm attacked me. I ended up going to bed early, I was so tired. I also noticed that I have a bit of a head cold coming on.

Other then that, my food intake was normal (allowed amount), but my
water intake may have been a bit lacking. I will monitor it closer today. In
reviewing my diet(I write everything down) I did notice that the day I lost
4.4lbs was preceded by a day that I added hot sauce to both meals. I will try
this again today to see what happens this time:)
Later this day....(transfering these posts from the other page is a real pain!)
I have to say, I did do a no-no today. My hands get so dry normally (due to
allergies) and I had used the mineral oil yesterday but it didn't help. My hands
were near cracking and bleeding so I broke down and used my normal lotion. Only
time will tell what damage I did but if I lose a day maybe once a week then I
can live with that better then bleeding hands.

Have a good night everyone...I always like the thought, before I go to sleep, that
when I open my eyes I get to weigh myself and do the math. Who thought that
would ever happen!!!
(Sorry about the format or rather the lack of format on the posts Dated April 6th to mid-July. They don't copy and paste right for some strange reason.)

R1P2D6
(-8.2lbs)
Things are still great. I had a bit of trouble going to sleep last
night but woke up refreshed this morning. I'm moving my drops back 30mins so I
don't have to stay up til 11pm. I'm finding that most nights I'm ready for sleep
by 10-10:30pm where normally I'm good til 12. Whatever my body needs, I guess.

Food has been great with stevia to save the day! I have done baked apple
with cinnamon, water and vanilla stevia. When I was done the apple I had a sweet
apple drink to enjoy too. Strawberries sprinkled with stevia powder and a
couple of chocolate flavoured stevia drops was to die for! I felt like I was
  cheating, lol.

I have also tried a fake shake and bake method with my
sole. I took 4 melba toast, 4 fillets(85-95g each), 1 egg white, 2tbsp milk,
splash of worechester, splash of Braggs sauce. I mixed wet ingredients with a
sprinkle of salt and used this as my glue on the fish. After crushing the melba
toast, I added dried onions, thyme and spread this out on a large plate. Then I
carefully breaded my fish and placed on a non-stick pan. Baked at 400 until
done. Sorry, I didn't time it. I ate 1 fillet on a bed of spinach for supper
last nite and individually packed away the other 3 for this week.

Hope
everyone is doing well and that my posts help some :)
(Is it okay that I feel
like a lab rat on display;-))
